Deep Dive

Why is Goat Liver Healthy?

Goat liver contains high amounts of vital vitamins and minerals like vitamin B12, iron, and vitamin A. It’s low in fat, and whatever fat it has is anti-inflammatory and highly saturated. This happens because goat liver contains good unsaturated fats, which are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.

It lowers disease risk whereas “bad” fats such as saturated, hydrogenated, and trans fats increase your risk for coronary heart disease and need to be limited in your diet.

Goat liver is also a great source of protein. Just a 3 oz serving of liver contains the 20+ grams you need to max out protein synthesis. Fresh mutton liver has an incredibly low amount of carbs and therefore, it is ideal for people on a Keto diet.
