Take a bowl and add the minced mutton, along with the grated onions, minced garlic, egg, turmeric powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well
Divide the meat mixture into equal portions, and shape them into oblong kebabs, on the skewers.
Preheat a grill or a barbecue to medium-high heat. Add the skewers toon the grill and brush the kebabs with melted butter. This will prevent the kebabs from sticking on the grill.
Infuse saffron strands in warm water. Brush the chelo kebabs with this to increase the flavor. Grill the kebabs for another 4-5 minutes on each side. Serve with chelo rice, roasted tomatoes, and a half fried egg.
