From its convenience to health benefits, there is a lot to love about a breakfast smoothie. While breakfast smoothies usually come together in minutes, meal prep can quicken the process even further. To meal prep breakfast smoothie, simply freeze your choice of core ingredient — fruit(s) like sliced banana, strawberries, peaches, etc., or veggies or greens, like spinach or kale. When you’re in the mood for a smoothie, simply blend the frozen ingredients with a liquid of your choice, and you’ll have a filling smoothie ready.
Except for the liquid, measure all ingredients for a smoothie and freeze them in a Ziploc pouch with no air. For example, for a banana peanut butter smoothie, add 1 sliced banana, 2 tbsp of peanut butter, and 1 serving of chocolate powder in a Ziploc pouch and freeze. Alternatively, you can freeze all fruits (or vegetables) separately and mix and match when making the smoothie.
