¼ tspTurmeric

¼ tspCardamom powder

1 tbspGhee
For cake:
¾ cupAll-purpose flour
½ tspBaking soda
1 tspBaking powder
1 tspVanilla custard powder
200 mlCondensed milk
3 tbspPowdered sugar
2 tbspOil
½ cupMilk
1 tspVanilla essence
300 mlWhipping cream (chilled)
For the custard layer:
2 tbspVanilla custard powder
1½ cupsMilk
2 tbspSugar

Description - Step 1

Prepare the sweet puran filling

Cook chana dal until soft and drain well. Mash or blend the dal into a smooth paste. In a small pan, add the mashed dal, sugar, turmeric, salt, cardamom powder, nutmeg and ghee. Cook on low to medium heat, stirring, until the mixture becomes thick and mostly dry. Let it cool completely.
