Description - Step 1

Prepare the spiced waffle batter

Crush saffron strands in warm milk in a small bowl. Keep aside for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, whisk both flours, baking powder, cinnamon, cardamom, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs, then mix in yoghurt, vanilla, melted butter (or ghee), and saffron milk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients; whisk until smooth and slightly thick. Cover and let ferment at room temperature for 2 hours.
