Red pepper jelly is one of the easy, natural bell pepper recipes that originated in Texas, United States, in the 1970s. It is a type of preserve made with red bell peppers and chilli peppers, and thickened with pectin. However, this recipe uses natural ingredients like tart apples and vinegar to add thickness, which helps the jelly set well. This red pepper jelly was traditionally made with jalapeno peppers and has a sweet & slightly tangy taste with some heat in it due to the spiciness in it. It is the best condiment for sandwiches or burgers. This jelly recipe was traditionally used for meat preparations as well. For a light snack, you can even spread it on crackers with some creamy cheese. It provides a mix of sweetness and heat in a single spoon of jelly.
