The festival of colours, Holi, is right around the corner, and if there is one thing this day needs, other than colours and joie de vivre, it’s new Holi sweets. It’s time to expand your dessert table with international flavours and add these rose bon bons to the festive sweet spread. Bon bons are a French confectionery, featuring a hard shell filled with a sweet filling, usually ganache, caramel, fondant, or fruit. While the traditional French dessert featured chocolate shells, this bon bon uses condensed milk, flavoured with gulkand, coconut, and rose petals. It’s mildly sweet, aromatic, soft and chewy. The rose bon bons look pretty, taste amazing, and rely on locally available ingredients. What’s not to love?
