Description - Step 1

Seed Roasting

Place a heavy-bottomed pan on low heat and add the sesame seeds. Stir continuously until the heat spreads evenly and the seeds' colour gradually changes. As they turn pale golden, they release a nutty aroma and begin to crackle softly. Remove immediately and spread on a plate to stop carryover cooking.
