Bread Pizza is a quick and tasty snack that brings all the classic pizza flavours without the need for dough-making. It starts with a toasted bread base, layered with tangy marinara sauce, gooey mozzarella and provolone cheese, and your choice of toppings, such as vegetables or pepperoni. The result is crispy, cheesy, and full of flavour in every bite. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for sudden cravings, movie nights, or a kid-friendly treat at home.
Set your oven to preheat to 230°C (450°F). Place an oven rack in the middle position.

Slice And Flatten The bread
Using a serrated knife, slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise. Place the two halves cut-side up on an ungreased baking sheet. Use your hands to firmly press down on the soft centre of each bread half to flatten it as much as possible.

Brush With Olive Oil
Using a pastry brush, brush the 1 tbsp olive oil evenly over both bread halves, making sure to coat the crust edges as well. This will help them crisp up nicely.
Description - Step 4
Initial Bake
Place the oiled bread halves in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes. This initial bake lets the bread firm up a bit before adding the toppings.
Description - Step 5
Layer The Toppings
Remove the bread halves from the oven. Arrange provolone slices (about 5 per half) to cover the surface. Spread ½ cup of marinara sauce evenly over each half. Top with shredded mozzarella, then sprinkle 1 tbsp grated Parmesan on each. Next, add sliced tomatoes and green bell pepper rings evenly across the surface. Finish with a light sprinkle of dried oregano and Italian seasoning for extra flavour.

Final Bake And Broil
Return the topped bread to the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Then switch the oven to broil mode and broil for 1-2 minutes to lightly brown the cheese. Keep a close eye so it doesn't burn.

Garnish And Serve
Take the bread pizzas out of the oven. Tear the basil leaves and scatter them over the pizzas. Let cool for 2-3 minutes, then cut each half into 4 pieces using a serrated knife. Serve hot.
