Fritto misto recipe is one of those dishes that looks fancy on the plate but is surprisingly simple once you get into the kitchen. It’s a mix of shrimp and squid, lightly coated and fried until crisp and golden. The trick is not in heavy batter or strong seasoning, but in keeping everything light so the seafood really shines. It might sound like something you would only order at a restaurant, but honestly, it comes together quite easily at home with just a few basic ingredients and a little attention while frying. At first, frying seafood can feel a bit tricky, but once you get the oil temperature right, the process becomes smooth and even enjoyable. To make it, start by cleaning and drying the seafood well. Then coat it in a light mix of flour and cornstarch with a bit of seasoning. Heat the oil properly and fry in small batches so everything cooks evenly. That’s the key step in many Italian food recipes; a simple process, but done the right way. It can be served as a starter, snack, or even a light meal when paired with a fresh salad. The outside is crisp, the inside stays soft, and a squeeze of lemon brings everything together. Whether you are cooking for guests or just trying something new, this dish offers a satisfying combination of texture and flavour that is hard to resist.
