Got leftover chapatis in the kitchen, a little time on your hand, and pizza on your mind? Then it’s time to cook leftover chapati pizza. It comes together quickly as it does not require an elaborate dough-making process. It’s great as a last-minute appetizer, a fusion breakfast, or even an early evening snack. The best thing? It’s easily customizable for the vegetables available in your pantry.

Ingredients

UNITSIngredients
2Leftover chapati/roti
½ cupMozarella cheese
2 tbspOnion (sliced)
2 tbspCapsicum (chopped or sliced)
4 tbspBoiled corn
8 tspPizza sauce
for garnishingOregano and chilli flakes

Directions

Description - Step 1

Heat the roti

Heat a tawa with ½ tsp of butter. Wait until the butter melts and the tawa is warm. Now add the chapati and let it warm slightly before turning off the flame.

Description - Step 2

Add the sauce and toppings

Spread 4 tbsp of pizza sauce on the chapati. You can use store-bought sauce or even ketchup. Next, add all the vegetables. In the end, add the cheese. Ensure the cheese layers the chapati completely. In the end, sprinkle a little oregano and chilli flakes, as per your taste.

Description - Step 3

Cook the pizza

Cover the pan and cook on low to medium flame until the cheese melts. Do not cook on a high flame, or the base will burn. Once the cheese melts, transfer the chapati pizza onto a plate, slice it into four parts, and serve it hot.
