Sawan 2026, or Shravan, is a holy month in the Hindu calendar during which people observe fast and worship Lord Shiva. During this period, people look for a sabudana recipe that is both filling and hassle-free. One such vrat-friendly option is Sabudana Thalipeeth, a soft-yet-crispy sago pancake.
Unlike a normal thalipeeth recipe, which is made with bhajanee (a multigrain flour mix), this version is made with tapioca (sabudana) and uses sattvic spices, roasted peanuts, and herbs, making it a one-stop solution for Hindu fasting days. As the name suggests, it is first patted and flattened on the thali (a plate), then pan-fried till perfection. This recipe is a Maharashtrian recipe, also popular in Marathwada, Telangana and North Karnataka.
