Description - Step 1

  • Start by preheating your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  • Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil.

  • Then, grab a kitchen towel and pat those cooked chickpeas dry. This will help them get nice and crunchy.

Step 2: Season the chickpeas

  • In a mixing bowl, combine chickpeas, olive oil, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper.

  • Toss the chickpeas in this spice mix until evenly coated.

Step 3: Roast to golden perfection

  • Lay the chickpea mixture evenly on the baking sheet you've set up.

  • Pop it in the preheated oven and let it roast for about 25 to 30 minutes, giving the tray a shake halfway through to make sure everything crisps up nicely.

  • When it's still warm, toss in some chaat masala and a pinch of black salt, and mix everything together gently.
