When you pair it with hearty whole-grain bread, you’ve got a nutritious and satisfying meal to kick off your day.

Step 1: Toast the Bread

Start by cutting the avocado in half and taking out the pit. Then, scoop the creamy flesh into a bowl. Next, sprinkle in some lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Use a fork to mash everything together until it’s nice and creamy, but still has a bit of texture.

Spread the mashed avocado evenly on the toasted bread slices.
