Featuring a blend of multigrain cereal, peanut butter, honey, dried fruits, and seeds, these colourful and chewy cereal bars are the perfect treat to celebrate Children's Day. A healthy and entertaining no-bake treat that would be great for party platters or school lunches.

Ingredients

2 cupsMultigrain cereal
½ cupPeanut butter or almond butter
⅓ cupHoney or maple syrup
½ tspVanilla extract
½ cupChopped dried fruits (apricots, cranberries, raisins)
¼ cupToasted pumpkin seeds
1 tbspChia seeds
a PinchSalt
2 tbspMini chocolate chips (Optional)

Directions

Description - Step 1

Prepare the Base

Put the peanut butter and honey in a pot and turn it on low heat. Gently mix until dissolved and completely smooth. Include vanilla extract and a little amount of salt. Take off the stove and put aside.

Description - Step 2

Mix Dry Ingredients

Throw all the dry fruit pieces, roasted pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, multigrain cereal, and optional chocolate chips into a big bowl and stir well. Carefully mix to ensure uniform distribution.

Description - Step 3

Combine Wet and Dry

Add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and stir to combine. Make sure everything is covered and sticky by mixing it well with a spatula.

Description - Step 4

Shape and Set

Fill up silicone moulds or a lined tray with the ingredients. Squeeze the ingredients together tightly. Set aside to chill for a minimum of 1 hour, or until set.

Description - Step 5

Slice & Serve

Cut into bars or remove with a spoon after it has set. Put it in a sealed jar and store it for up to five days.
