Directions

Description - Step 1

Step 1: Soak and Cook Chana

Start by washing 1 cup of black chana and soaking them overnight or for 7-8 hours. This softens the chana and ensures they cook evenly. The next morning, add the soaked chana to a pressure cooker with 1 tsp salt and 1 cup water. Cook on a medium flame until the first whistle, then reduce the flame and cook for 3-4 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally before opening.
