Description - Step 1

Brush the pizza crust

Brush the pizza crust with a thin layer of olive oil and minced garlic. You can lightly warm the olive oil and garlic together for 30 seconds to mellow the raw garlic's sharpness. However, it’s not necessary.

Make the pizza toppings

Take a small bowl and add ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, and herbs (except for red chilli flakes, if using and garnishing herbs). Give this a quick mix. Now, spread the mixture in a thin layer across the pizza. Top it with sliced mozzarella and half of the parmesan cheese.

Bake the pizza

Place the pizza in an oven and bake at 220°C for 10-15 minutes. The cheese should melt and turn bubbly. Now, remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top. You can also add red chilli flakes, if using.

Slice and serve

Let the pizza rest for a minute. Now, slice it into equal slices with a pizza cutter or sharp knife. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot.
