Crunchy boondi soaked in aromatic sugar syrup, enriched with saffron and cardamom, is shaped into golden laddus and decorated with edible gold leaf. Description - Step 1

Step 1: Prepare sugar syrup

Shell and powder the cardamoms. In a small pan, combine sugar and ¼ cup water and heat until the sugar dissolves completely. To check readiness, drop a small amount in water; it should form a soft ball and not dissolve instantly. Add saffron and cardamom powder, then a few drops of milk to collect impurities and skim off the foam.
