Description - Step 1

Prepare hung curd

  • To make your own thick, creamy hung curd, simply tie some plain yogurt in a muslin cloth or cheesecloth.

  • Hang it up over a colander or bowl and place the setup in the refrigerator.

  • Keep it for 6 hours or overnight to let the excess whey drain out.

  • You will get a thick and creamy hung curd.

Soak saffron

Warm 2 tablespoons of milk and soak the saffron strands in it to enhance both the flavour and colour.

Mix base

  • In a bowl, take hung curd and whisk it until it’s smooth and creamy. 

  • Then, sprinkle in the powdered sugar and mix it all together until it’s well blended.

Flavouring

  • Add saffron milk, a sprinkle of cardamom powder, and a dash of rose water (optional). 

  • Give it a gentle mix until everything is nicely blended.

Chill & serve

  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best taste and texture.
