Indulge in Sorghum Kesari, a decadent South Indian sweet dish made from sorghum, ghee, and saffron.

Ingredients

Sorghum rawa
4 cups
Dry fruits (cashew, pista, badam and raisins)
1 cup
Ghee
4 tsp
Milk
500 ml
Saffron
few strands

Directions

Roast the Flour

Roast the sorghum rawa in a little ghee or oil. The sorghum will become light brown. Take a separate pan, and add some ghee or oil. Roast the dry fruits. 

 

Cook the Dessert

Boil the milk in a pan, add a pinch of saffron. Then, add the fried sorghum rawa and sugar. Cook this for about 15 minutes. The Sorghum Kesari is ready. Garnish with dry fruits and a dollop of ghee. Serve hot.
