Coconut Milk Fish Curry with Red Masoor Dal is a wholesome, coastal-style curry that pairs the richness of coconut milk with the softness of cooked fish and the earthy smoothness of masoor dal. This dish takes inspiration from the coconut-heavy curries of Kerala, Goa and coastal Karnataka, blending lentils and fish into one complete and satisfying meal. The red masoor dal not only thickens the curry naturally but also boosts protein, making the dish both filling and nutritious. The fish cooks gently in the coconut-based gravy, absorbing flavours from spices, curry leaves and green chillies without ever drying out. The result is a creamy yet light curry that pairs perfectly with steamed rice, appam or even warm rotis. Coconut Milk Fish Curry with Red Masoor Dal is a versatile, family-friendly dish, suitable for weekday meals or weekend comfort cooking. Its mild spice level makes it appealing to all ages, while its creamy texture and fragrance ensure it remains a standout dish on the table.
