Rice kheer, often referred to as chawal ki kheer, is a beloved Indian dessert that adds a touch of warmth and sweetness to any celebration. It’s made by slowly cooking rice in milk until it reaches a creamy, rich consistency. It is flavoured with cardamom and finished with a handful of nuts. Simple yet heavenly, this dish is more than just a dessert; it’s a comforting bowl of nostalgia and joy.
To start, rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
Next, soak the rice in enough water to submerge it for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Once that’s done, drain the rice using a colander and set it aside.
