Heat milk in a pan, along with the cardamom powder. Bring to a boil, and continue boiling till the milk is reduced to half. Scrape the sides.
Take a separate pan and add the sugar. Melt the sugar till it browns. Next, add some boiled milk in the pan and stir continuously, till the sugar completely dissolves in the milk.
Add the sugar mixture to the boiling milk. Stir continuously till the milk thickens.
Take a separate bowl and whisk the curd till it is smooth. Then add this curd to the milk and mix. Pour this mixture into the desired container and cover it with a warm cloth till a thick layer forms on top. Refrigerate and serve chilled.
