These air-fried corn and spinach patties strike the perfect balance between health and taste! By using air frying instead of deep-frying, they maintain a delightful crispiness without the added oil. Made with sweet corn, fresh spinach, and a hint of mild spices, they’re crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. These patties are great for guilt-free snacking or as a nutritious appetiser.
Boil the corn kernels until they're tender. For the potatoes, cook them just until they're fork-tender, but make sure they don't turn mushy. Chop up the spinach, green chilli, and onion, and get everything ready to combine.
Description - Step 2
Make the patty mixture
Grab a large bowl and mash the boiled potatoes in it. Add in corn kernels, spinach, onion, green chilli, and ginger paste. Then, add the gram flour, cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, and breadcrumbs. Stir it all together until the mixture holds. The batter should be firm enough to make patties.
Description - Step 3
Shape the patties
Take the mixture and split it into equal parts. Then, mould each part into round, flat patties that are roughly 2 inches in diameter.
Description - Step 4
Air fry
First, preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Lightly spray the patties with oil. Air-fry them for 10 to 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they’re golden brown and crispy.
