Peanut Hummus recipe is a nutty, spiced chickpea dip packed with creamy goodness, perfect for your snack table. This is not your typical dip of chickpeas. It combines the earthy richness of roasted peanuts with the warm depth of turmeric, cumin and cayenne, and accentuates it with a generous squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
You don't have to cook anything because everything goes in a food processor. Just mix, taste, tweak, and the dip is ready in about 10 minutes. Adding a bit of reserved chickpea liquid will help loosen the hummus dip if it becomes too thick. While raw garlic may be overpowering and sharp, roasting softens it up, making it sweet, nutty and almost buttery.
This homemade hummus dip stores well in the fridge for up to five days in an airtight container, so it's great for meal prep too. It is perfect for events such as house parties, potlucks, or just a casual social gathering. Set it out with pita, veggie sticks, or crackers or use it as a spread inside wraps or sandwiches. There is one important thing you should do for this recipe. Label it distinctly whenever using it at gatherings. It resembles regular hummus, and a peanut-allergic person might easily mistake it for regular hummus.
