Delicious and indulgent Birthday Cake without Oven, with a decadent chocolate ganache and spongy cake.

Oil (oil/butter/ghee)
¼ cup
Vanilla essence
1 tsp
Vinegar
1 tsp
Sugar
½ cup
Maida
1 cup
Cocoa powder
¼ cup
Baking powder
1 tsp
Baking soda
¼ tsp
Chocolate shavings
Cocoa powder
¼ cup
Powdered sugar
½ cup
Milk
½ cup
Vanilla essence
1 tsp
Butter
50 gm
Corn flour
2 tbsp

Directions

Mix the Base and Make the Batter

Take a large bowl, and add 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon of vinegar. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then whisk. Add ¼ cup oil, ½ cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence. Whisk and mix well, until the sugar has completely dissolved. 

Take a sieve, and sift 1 cup maida, ¼ cup cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon baking soda. Mix properly, using the cut and fold method. Add the milk and prepare a smooth, lump-free batter.

Cook the Cake

Take a pan and grease it. Then, line with baking paper. Pour the batter, and tap to remove the bubbles. Cover and cook on low flame for approximately 30 minutes, till the toothpick is clean. Cool completely, then remove the parchment paper.

Make the Ganache

Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, milk, vanilla essence, butter, and cornflour in a bowl. Mix properly so that there are no lumps. Cook on low flame, stirring continuously. Boil for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat when the ganache is thick and shiny. Cool totill room temperature.

Assemble the Cake

Once the cake has cooled, spread the ganache evenly. Decorate with coloured sprinkles and crushed chocolate. Slice as desired, and enjoy this delicious cake!
