Duck meat (chopped into small pieces)
500 gms
Ash gourd (diced)
10-12 pieces
Black pepper (coarsely crushed)
2 tbsp
Turmeric powder
1 tbsp
Chili powder
1/2 tbsp
Jeera powder
1 tbsp
Bay Leaf
1-2
Cumin seeds
1/2 tbsp
Garlic
2 cloves
Green Chillies ( chopped)
1-2
Onion ( big sized chopped)
1
Garlic and Ginger (chopped)
Ginger- garlic paste (for marination)
Garam masala powder
1 tsp
Salt
to taste
Mustard Oil
for cooking

Directions

Marinate the Duck

Add black pepper, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, clove, and bay leaf to the duck meat. Marinate it.

Fry the Ingredients

Heat some mustard oil in a wok. Add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, green chillies, and cloves. Add the chopped onion and the ginger garlic.

Cook the Duck

Duration icon20 minutes

Add the marinated duck meat to the ingredients and mix it properly. Add a tablespoon of pepper powder. Increase the flame and cook for some time. After 10-15 minutes of cooking on high flame, cover the wok and cook on low flame for another 5 minutes. The meat will start to release water and oil. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Assemble the Dish

Add the diced ash gourd pieces to the duck mixture and stir it properly. Cover with a lid and let it cook for some time.
