Thicken the Milk
Take a heavy bottomed pan, and add the full fat milk. Once the milk has boiled, add the cardamom powder and cook on low flame.
Grind the Dry Fruits
Take a grinder and add the soaked almonds and soaked pistachios. Make a coarse paste. Add the brown sugar and rose water, and mix well.
Cool the Malai
The milk will slowly start to thicken at the bottom of the pan. A malai will form. Remove the milk from heat and let the mixture cool down.
Assemble the Dessert
Take out the malai in a plate and divide it into 4 parts, using a knife. Add the dry fruit filling in the center and fold it. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve!
